HSY Lawn Prints Exhibition in Karachi

After amusing Lahore with his mesmerizing summer lawn prints 2011, Hasan Sheheryar Yasin showcased his summer lawn collection 2011 in Karachi at The Palm Marquee.

Kiran Fine Jewelry and Sonya Batla Present Their 2011 Collection

Kiran Fine Jewelry and its brand ambassador Sonya Batlya, who are also working together since 2010 to create exquisite jewelry designs have launched their 2011 jewelry collections at an exciting and unique event held at the PIA Planetarium, Karachi.

The conceptual event included a series of jewellery and fashion based displays across the venue and a unique audio-visual presentation narrated by Naad-e-Ali Zaidi with text by Kiran Aman, highlighting the basic inspiration for the two designer’s collections’.

Kiran Fine Jewelry collection entitled ‘Meet Your Void’ was based on the idea of suspension of irregular shaped stones held by uneven textured gold but in the harmony of balanced designs, this suspension brings into focus the beauty of imperfection and its existence in a negative space. The inspiration of uneven stones and strong durable structures to create these abstract designs had been taken from the planets, stars, galaxies, and the contents of intergalactic space. 

Sonya Battla’s ‘Stellar Collection’ was inspired by the Constellation, based upon the delicate network of the galaxies. This collection aimed at comprehending the unique positions, functions and various developmental stages of handpicked stars and planets that comprise the universe.

The event was attended by diverse personalities including artist Aliya Chinoy, restaurateur Rasikh Ismail of Café Koel, photographer Amean J, art collector Khurram Kasim, fashion designer Nida Azwer, Brands and External Communications Manager Unilever Pakistan Fareshteh Aslam, Jamal Baquar of Samba Bank and CEO of Dawood Capital Management Tara Uzra Dawood, amongst a variety of other guests.By Alisha

Red Carpet held on February 25th at the Mahnoor Hall where the media had a chance to interact with the 2 most gorgeous women of the Pakistani film industry, Reema and Meera, who have also endorsed the brand in the past.Besides, Rabia Butt, who is endorsing Bonanza lawn this year was present at the red carpet along with other celebrities & Socialites including: Behroz Subsazwari, Laila, Mirza Khursheed, Asad Tareen, Frieha Altaf, Nashmiya, Naznine Tariq, Shaz Khan, Adding to the excitement was a fashion show and installation designed by the talented Ali Xeeshan. Models Koni, Sadaf, Hira and Sherry all looked stunning in the Bonanza outfits created exclusively for the launch by Alisha.

The Fashion Gala 2010 enthralled the fashion lovers of twin cities here late Saturday providing them with excellent opportunity to have the glimpses of latest fashions by 7 new and established   

designers.

Organised by Alisha Group, the show was planned to promote the fashion industry, art and entertainment in the federal capital besides supporting young and talented models, choreographers, designers and the organisers.

Designers and brands including Alisha,Zahra Ahmed, Zia from Libas, Sidra from Gulaal, Basharat, Yasmeen Siddiqui, Zain and Munazza displayed their eye catching exclusive styles hitting the ramps as passion and creative energy drove the young male and female models to participate in the event.

The designers showcased a variety of casual and formal outfits, western wear, men wear and other accessories.

The basic concept of the programme was to provide a platform to up-coming and talented designers, makeup artists and models as due to large struggle of time and money, it becomes barrier for upcoming talent to survive in the market, said one of the organiser.
