Natural Home Remedies for Wrinkles: You May Have Missed

Wrinkles. Many of us dread the arrival of those lines, crinkles, and creases, but we know they’ll etch their way into our faces sooner or later. You can’t avoid aging, obviously, but it turns out that you don’t have to end up with a prunelike complexion. If you follow some commonsense home remedies, you can prevent some wrinkling and continue to put your best face forward.

Causes of Wrinkles

While aging is one of the main factors that cause wrinkles to surface, there are many other factors that often combine with one another to cause premature damage to the skin.
Facial Expressions
Repeated facial expressions, such as squinting in the sun or frequent smiling can lead to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Each time a facial muscle is used, grooves develop underneath the surface of the skin. As the skin ages, lost flexibility causes the skin to lose the ability to spring back into place . This is how the grooves in the skin become permanent fixtures upon the face.
Smoking
The normal aging process of the skin accelerates when a person smokes tobacco products. This is especially seen around the lips, as changes in the blood supply about this region are altered by the presence of chemicals contained in cigarettes and cigars. Additionally, the repeated presence of heat coming from lit tobacco products generates negative effects on the skin. Repeated facial expressions are also made while smoking that leads to the formation of wrinkles. Often, smokers will purse their lips and squint their eyes to avoid smoke all of which contribute to an enhanced pattern of wrinkles.
Air Pollution
Pollutants in the air can cause wrinkles to form on the skin. A common culprit is ozone, which is behind depleted amounts of vitamin E in the skin. With the loss of this vital antioxidant, increased levels of damage are allowed to take place.
Quick Weight Loss
When an individual loses weight too fast, the volume of fat cells that once served as a cushion for the face decreases. Chemical reactions that take place in the skin will now affect its appearance, making a person look scrawny. Rapid weight loss may also cause the skin to look saggy.
Childhood Sun Exposure
It is believed that about 50% to 80% of skin damage takes place during the childhood and adolescent years when intense exposure to the sun causes a higher incidence of sunburned skin.
Age
The majority of people over the age of 70 are battling at least one skin disorder. Some are known to suffer a whopping three or four skin conditions at one time. While these changes in the skin (including wrinkles) increases with age, other factors such as family history and lifestyle choices throughout the years will have a deep impact.

Home Remedies for Wrinkles

Vitamins E, yogurt, honey & lemon juice
Making your own cleansers is so easy! Just empty and mix 3 Vitamin E capsules with 2 tablespoon of plain yogurt, ½ a tablespoon of honey and ½ a tablespoon of lemon juice into a small bowl. When these ingredients are mixed together, you will get a cotton ball. Rub this on your face gently and leave it on for 10 minutes then rinse off.
Raspberry, orange juice, olive oil, egg yolk and oatmeal
You can also mix 1 teaspoon of raspberry juice with 1 teaspoon of orange juice, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, whipped egg yolk and 2 teaspoons of grind oatmeal. After mixing everything, you need to wait for 20 minutes and smear this on the face. Once it dries, then you wash this off with warm water.
Seedless green grapes
Green Thompson seedless grapes is a good ingredient to help you to get rid of wrinkles as well, once you cut the grapes in half; crush it gently on your face so that the juice will be absorbed by the skin. You need to ensure to leave it there for 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water and let it dry with natural air.
Turmeric and sugarcane
Another effective way to get rid of wrinkles and aging skin is to apply a paste of turmeric made with sugarcane juice on the problem area.
Castor oil and egg whites
Try to use odor free castor oil and pat gently to the entire face and throat to prevent wrinkles.  If you already have fine wrinkles under the eyes, you may try to apply egg whites under the eyes you will find incredible results just after a few applications!
Comfrey, hazel and patchouli essential oil
One more mixture may come from a ¾ cup of comfrey infusion, a ¾ cup of witch hazel and 10 drops of patchouli essential oil. The best part is that you can store the excess in a clean bottle in order for you to use it again later.
Coconut oil or pineapple
Should you have coconut oil around, you may apply this in skin pore areas at night before going to bed. As for those that have pineapple at home, you can cut it open and then rub the core of the fruit on your face for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing.

Safe and Best Way to Remove Hair During Pregnancy

When women become pregnant, their bodies undergo a series of dramatic changes both inside and out. Outwardly, women often notice weight gain, changes in their skin, and even an increase in unwanted body hair. Increased body hair growth during pregnancy is usually due to hormonal changes; but understanding this change doesn’t mean it’s a welcome one.
This is why some pregnant women find themselves seeking hair removal products and services even more so when they’re pregnant than when they aren’t. But are certain hair removal treatments like laser hair removal safe and effective for pregnant women to use?

Hair Removal During Pregnancy

Electrolysis
There are no studies that evaluate the safety of electrolysis during pregnancy. Many health care providers and electrologists recommend avoiding electrolysis during pregnancy because of the lack of information about the effect on the fetus. If you choose to have electrolysis, the breasts should be avoided in the last trimester, especially if you’re going to breastfeed. In the final weeks of pregnancy, you should avoid the abdomen because it is very sensitive and would be very uncomfortable for you at this point in the pregnancy.
There are two types of current used in electrolysis, thermolysis and galvanic. Thermolysis may also be referred to as diathermy, radio wave, short wave, or high frequency. Galvanic electrolysis sends a minute electrical current through the client and back to the device. This is not recommended because the baby is surrounded by amniotic fluid.
In this situation, amniotic fluid acts as a conductor of electricity. For this reason, galvanic current is not recommended for electrolysis during pregnancy. Thermolysis does not flow through the body and has not been found to be harmful to pregnant women or the fetus. Many electrologists require a letter from your health care provider authorizing treatment during pregnancy.
Laser
Laser hair removal targets dark pigment in the hair and causes thermal and/or mechanical damage to the hair follicle. There are no studies that evaluate the safety of laser hair removal during pregnancy. Many have no specific opinion about laser hair removal.
If you choose to have electrolysis, the breasts should be avoided in the last trimester, especially if you’re going to breastfeed. In the final weeks of pregnancy, you should avoid the abdomen because it is very sensitive and would be very uncomfortable for you at this point in the pregnancy.
Waxing
Waxing is a popular hair removal method because it’s convenient, it’s proven effective, and it is available in at-home kits and as a professional treatment. Hair removal wax also comes in a variety of substances and application methods, and it doesn’t pose many major side effects.
Minor waxing side effects include bleeding, light bruising and possible skin infections. Probably the biggest factor against waxing is the pain that many report with usage. This doesn’t mean that the wax hair removal method is a bad choice during pregnancy, it just means that on the whole, it could be very painful and it still may not guarantee the length of results that you’re after.
Creams and Depilatories
The main concerns with depilatories during pregnancy are the active ingredients barium sulfide powder and calcium thioglycolate. There is no evidence that they are harmful during pregnancy, but there have been no studies that prove they are safe either.
As with any cosmetic, you should try a patch of skin to see how you react. The chemicals, once exposed to oxygen, leave a distinct odor, which may be very unpleasant for you and in rare cases has been known to cause an allergic reaction. You will want to take extra measures to ensure a well-ventilated area and proper timing so chemical burns do not result.
Shaving
Arguably the most convenient method of hair removal available, shaving removes unwanted hair with a razor at the skin’s surface. The only real problem with shaving might be the difficulty of performing it yourself as the baby grows, and the discomfort of maintaining the positions necessary to shave different body areas especially when considering the frequency required with shaving!

Makeup Tips for Teenagers: Looking Attractive and Smart

It is first of all in teen age that the craze bugs to look beautiful bites every body. All of a sudden then the world of makeup and fashion starts looking extremely interesting. The craze to experiment with looks specially comes with the entry in college. However, as this age is very delicate, it is often not advisable to apply extra make up. Teenage make up should always be soft and subtle. A nice combination of colors, poise and sweet touch up makes teenage make up attractive and charming.

Skin

Before every makeup application, you need to cleanse your skin. Using a cleanser that is right for your skin type, wash your face and neck thoroughly. Don’t rub hard; instead, use gentle circular motions. Rinse completely, and pat dry with a towel.
The first makeup to consider is foundation. Many teenagers don’t need any foundation at all. If you do use foundation to cover blemishes or even out skin tone, it’s important to learn how to apply makeup like foundation with an easy hand. Too much looks caked on, and that never looks good. You should use a powder foundation rather than a liquid. Put it on with a big, fluffy brush, rather than a powder puff. Then blend, blend, blend so it covers your skin and doesn’t flake off. You can use concealer below your eyes and on blemishes if needed. Use the concealer first and then the foundation.

Blush

If there’s one thing that every teenage girl has in her favor, it’s those naturally flushed cheeks that all grown women covet. Whether she blushes from her first crush or from cheering at a football game, recreating that look to work full time is easy. A cream blush or a cheek gel in a rosy pink tone will help any teenager flaunt those just-pinched cheeks from the beginning of her first class through the last bell. No reapplication needed.

Just Bitten

For lips that are shiny and plump, teenage girls look best wearing glosses. Who has time to fuss with lip liners and heavy lipsticks when they’re busy blowing bubbles and kissing boys? Bonne Belle Lip Smackers are a staple for any teenage girl. Perfect for the winter season, these lip moisturizers come in a variety of lip licking flavors, some with a metallic tint or rosy peach pigments.
Need to take it up a notch for a date night or dancing? Every teen girl should own Clinique’s Long Last Lip Shine in All Heart, it’s the perfect shade of innocent pink and works on every skin color. For more youth friendly cosmetics check out the cosmetic department store Sephora.

Browsing

The eyes are the windows to the soul, and young gals have eyes that are filled with endless dreams and possibilities. Frame this inner beauty with well-defined and arched eyebrows. A professional cosmetologist or esthetician can perform the first eyebrow wax. Once the ideal eyebrow shape is obtained, the brows are easy to maintain with a good pair of tweezers in between professional waxing visits.

Eye Shadows

Teenage girls may experiment with all types of eye shadows as long as the colors aren’t too bold or harsh. Remember, if the shadow selection is bold, everything else in the makeup palette should be minimal. Young ladies look their best in shimmery makeup. Look for pearlized shadows in shades of ivory, taupe, celadon green or light blue. It’s always best to apply a small amount of shadow and blend in the crease of the eye liberally.
If using a bold color rather than a neutral, go easy and create a light “wash” of color through the process of continued blending. Harsh colors are not attractive during daytime hours and can be much trickier for a novice to apply. Play it safe by adding just a punch of color to the lips.

Eyeliner

Eyeliner is optional for teenage girls. Because teens are active, it’s not likely that a lined eye will look its best throughout the day. Save eyeliner for evening or formal occasions.

Mascara

Colorless mascaras are the best tool for a teenage gal. Doubling as a brow gel, a few sweeps of clear mascara on the lashes will separate and define lashes without clumping or smudging.

There are more and more discoveries everyday when it comes to vitamins and weight loss and we would love to show you many options.
You tried many things and you hear people saying just eat less, well that’s somewhat true but it’s not that easy. There are some other ways to help weight loss and that’s through vitamins. Vitamins and minerals help in all sorts of ways here is a quick list of the benefits.

Vitamins for Weight Loss

Vitamin A:
Vitamin A is one of the most important vitamins required by the body for operation. Like all other vitamins (except for Vitamin C), it is not necessary to take large amounts but minute amounts are essential and without them, serious problems can arise.
Vitamin A is needed by the retina of the eye for light-absorbing functions. It also is used in an oxidized form as retinoic acid and is an important hormone-like growth factor among kids and adolescents in the epithelial and other cells.
Deficiency in Vitamin A can lead to major problems especially blindness in children. Between 250,000 and 500,000 children in developing countries become blind each year due to deficiency in Vitamin A. The lack of consumption of yellow and green veggies can lead to Vitamin A deficiency.
Vitamin B:
Vitamin B is great for weight loss it helps your metabolism and also helps metabolize protein and fat and turn it into energy. Vitamin B is a water-soluble vitamin that occurs naturally in different foods, it can also be added to other foods and present in supplements. Vitamin B is needed for neurological functions, red blood cell formation and DNA synthesis.
Vitamin B Benefits:
  • Increases and supports burning of fate and rate of metabolism
  • Helps improve healthy skin and muscle tone
  • Strengthens the immune system and nervous systems.
  • Helps red blood cell growth and cell growth in general
  • Vitamin B is water-soluble and sent throughout the body and is released in urine, so it needs a good amount of vitamin b to replenish the body.
Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6:
Keeps your metabolism running (very important for weight loss) and ensures a healthy thyroid. Good sources include wheat bran, eggs and oats. But excess Vitamin B is soluble and washed out of the body everyday, so supplementing your vitamin intake is a good idea.
Vitamin C:
Helps the body to convert glucose into energy, and stops it from being stored in your body. A study of elderly patients found that higher Vitamin C levels increased their metabolism by around 100 calories a day!
Good sources include blackcurrants, broccoli, oranges and strawberries. There are also plenty of good supplements available through the internet or in your local store.
Vitamin D:
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin and taken orally vitamin D is absorbed with fats through the intestinal walls. Vitamin D is produced by the ultraviolet sunrays act on the oils of the skin and then absorbed into the body. Living in a polluted and smog rich environment reduces the vitamin D producing sunshine rays. Vitamin D can also be absorbed through diet and good sources of vitamin D are fish liver oils, herring, sardines, salmon, tuna and dairy products. You need vitamin D to properly utilize calcium and phosphorus.
Vitamin E:
Vitamin E is another fat-soluble vitamin and it is stored in your liver, heart, uterus, testes, muscles and in your blood. Vitamin E enhances the activity of vitamin A and together they help protect your lungs against air pollution. Vitamin E is also an antioxidant that helps preventing oxidation and thereby delaying the aging process. The best natural sources of vitamin E are nuts, eggs, wheat germ, spinach, vegetable oils, brussels sprouts and enriched flour.
Vitamin K:
Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin and actually consists of three different K vitamins, K1, K2 and K3. Vitamin K is not usually included in multi vitamins but has a very important role in preventing internal bleeding and hemorrhages. The most potent sources of vitamin K are found in fish oils, yogurt, safflower, soybean oil, kelp and egg yolk.
Calcium:
There is new information out that calcium is even more important than we thought! New research shows that calcium may prevent fat storage and raise your metabolism. Remember, even if you aren’t trying to lose weight, adaquate calcium is essential to prevent osteoporosis. Aim to consume 1000-1200mg per day.
If you aren’t getting enough Calcium in your diet, be sure to take a calcium supplement. Coral calcium and plant based calcium are the best – you can buy them online or find them in your local health store.
Choline:
The body needs Choline to metabolize fat, so this vitamin is very important! If your levels are too low, fat tends to get blocked in the liver. Choline is usually readily available in an average diet, but low calorie dieters should be careful to maintain their levels.
Choline deficiency can lead to cirrhosis and fatty degeneration of the liver. On the other hand, taking supplements is very safe. Taking too much is likely to result in nothing worse than a headache. So its an excellent, safe vitamin to add to your diet.
Good sources include egg yolks, wheat gem and peanuts. Also note that Choline is the main ingredient in Lethicin.

Advice:

  • Some of these vitamins can be harmful, so even though it is a vitamin on the shelf, be careful. If you have a thyroid problem, see your doctor. Taking Iodine can be extremely harmful especially if you already are taking thyroid medicine.
  • Too much of a good thing can be bad as well. Taking excess amounts of certain vitamins can cause health problems as well. Know where to limit foods that can cause excess vitamin intake with certain vitamins. An example of this would be taking large amounts of vitamin A, which causes hypervitaminosis A.

Professional Make Up Tips for Smokey Eyes

You should always only play up one feature (eyes or lips, not both), then why not throw a great gloss on your pout and make your eyes look hot by using these great smokey eyes makeup tips?. Here we will give you a quick and very easy guide to creating a great smoky look, without having to be an expertmakeup artist. Plus, if your budget is virtually non-existent, we will help remedy this by supplying tips for affordable color as well as multi-use products.

Applying Sexy Eye Makeup

Sexy eye makeup is perfect for a first date, a night out at the club or anytime you want to look and feel flirty and sexy. Aren’t cosmetics amazing? They can take you from daytime/office “Blah”, to nighttime “Wow” with just a few simple steps.

Shape Your Eyebrows

Sexy eyes have fine eyebrows with a nice arch. To make shaping your eyebrows easier, purchase a stencil kit. These kits take the guess work out of plucking and shaping your brows. At Makeup.com, you can find the Paula Dorf Brow Stencil Kit, which features brow stencils in very fine, fine, natural and full to create the perfect brow shape.

Apply a Base

Use a primer or eye shadow base over your lids and wait 3-5 minutes for it to set. You can also add a dusting of translucent loose powder.

Choose Your Eye Shadow Colors

For a flirty, sexy look, select eye shadow colors such a pinks, plums or greens. Apply a light color over the entire lid from lashline to crease. Add a dark color of the same hue into the crease. Finish by blending a medium shade from the crease to the browbone.

Line Your Top Lashes

Line your lashes with a black ink or liquid liner. The line can be thick as you like but it should extend past the outer corner of your eyes by 1/4 inch or so. Flare the liner up and out as it extends.

Set Your Eye Makeup

Add a dusting of translucent powder over your eye makeup to help it set and prevent creasing.

Curl Your Lashes

Using an eyelash curler, curl lashes and then apply two coats of black mascara. Use a cotton swab dipped in eye makeup remover to clean up any mistakes.

Smokey Eye Tip for Day Looks

  • Firstly, line the rim of your upper eyelids with black eyeliner pencil, making sure it goes into the lashline.
  • Go over the top of the black eyeliner with a brown eyeliner pencil starting from the outer ends of the eye to the centre of the eye.
  • Softly shade the eyelids using short strokes and smudge the brown eyeliner with your ring finger. For the bottom eyelids, rim with the brown eyeliner instead of black to soften the smokey eye.
  • Smudge the eyeliner along the rim with your ring finger, and draw another line again. For a more intense smokey look, you can do the same as the top lid – rim with black and followed by brown, and smudge. I prefer to use a more creamy formula eye pencil as it draws easily than a waterproof eyeliner pencil.
  • Pad a little translucent loose powder over the lids to seal in the creamy formula. Although it may smudge on the bottom lid during the day.

Warnings

  • If you make a mess, tidy it up with some cotton buds or an old (but sanitized) toothbrush.
  • Not everyone can pull this look off.
  • It may take a few tries to get it right, but when you do, the results are outstanding.

Grapefruits are available in pink or white and have their most distinct flavor during the winter months. For 55 calories, you can consume most of your daily recommended amount of vitamin C. Blueberries, black currants, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries and strawberries help the body produce collagen, responsible for giving skin that supple and smooth look. “Berries, especially blueberries, are loaded with antioxidant compounds that are very effective in neutralizing damaging free radicals,” said Jackson. Apples are one of the many fruits that will give you glowing skin. They not only tone and condition your skin but also help repair skin and fight acne. Just add a few tablespoons of fresh apple juice to your bath to cleanse and soften your skin.

Cantaloupe has a mere 60 calories in one serving, but delivers more than 100 percent of your daily vitamins A and C. It makes a wonderful snack or dessert during the summer months.

Pomegranates

Somehow, we’ve never enjoyed pomegranate as a fruit. And that’s why we use it more as a face pack. You will love the coolness and the feeling of the raw seeds rub against the skin of your face. What you can do is– just batter and mash the seeds to make a pulp and then add in it whatever toner you use. You can even make pomegranate juice and cool it in the freezer. Then take a cotton swab and dab the droplets to make your skin feel fresh. This is a summer trick; keep your skin glowing and beautiful!

A cousin of blueberries, bilberries contain tannins. Tannins are powerful antioxidants that are not only beneficial for treating facial hyperpigmentation, they also inhibit melanin production and keep your skin smooth and young.
Blend ½ cup fresh bilberries in a blender. Apply it to your face and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.
If fresh bilberries are not readily available, you can buy a good quality bilberry extract from your local health store, or get it online. Apply 1-2 teaspoons bilberry extract on your face. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Rinse off with warm water. Repeat facial mask 2-3 times a week.

Hormonal Acne Treatment with Nature

We know that hormones are what cause acne. Androgen hormones including dihydrotestosterone and testosterone, the adrenal precursor dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate, and other hormones, including growth hormone or insulin-like growth factors all may have a role to play in acne. A hormonal acne treatment can be used for women. Hormonal acne treatments seek to either block the androgen receptors in the sebaceaous gland (spironolactone, flutamide, and cyproterone acetate which I won’t discuss since it is not available in the United States) or moderate these hormones in women using birth control pills containing estrogen, or what are known as gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists (that’s a mouthful).
Hormones Cause Acne?
The process is actually a little more complex than we’ll describe here, but it basically works like this. There are a group of hormones called androgens (including testosterone). There is also a system in the body, the endocrine system, that regulates all of the functions of the body. It regulates these functions through hormones. The endocrine system has, as part of it, a number of glands whose sole function is to produce these hormones. When the endocrine system is imbalanced, it may produce too much or not enough of any of these hormones. When the endocrine system produces too many androgens, it causes an over-activity of the sebaceous glands which then causes an over production of sebum the oil on your skin that can then result in clogged pores, bacteria and breakouts.

Natural Treatment for Hormone Acne

  • Eat hormone-regulating foods such as alfalfa, flaxseed, oats, celery, parsley, rhubarb, fennel, and evening primrose oil.
  • Eating lots of fibre-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, wholegrain breads and cereals are a good start. The fibres in apples and psyllium husks act likes a sponge by cleaning the walls of the colon. They also absorb toxins and other junk and help push waste through the colon.
  • Almond oil: Almond oil is another natural ingredient that contains antioxidants and is used to cure hormonal acne, Almond oil helps soothe the skin and give it a smooth and natural glow.
  • Basil leaves: You can rub the basil leaves on the affected area and rinse with water. Basil leaves can also be eaten as a cure for hormonal acne.
  • Tea tree oil. Also known as melaleuca oil is an essential oil that is used as a spot treatment on blemishes. It is a drying agent.
  • Drink Water! Water is so important to not only your overall wellness, but to the youthfulness of your skin. Water perpetuates the production of collagen which protects skin’s elasticity.
  • Lemon juice: lemon is known to be an effective anti oxidant, you can apply freshly squeezed lemon juice mixed with rosewater on the affected area and leave it for 30 minutes and then wash with water.
  • Zinc foods. If you like that soft, supple skin look, try eating wheat germ, liver, oysters, pumpkin seeds, and sardines to help repair skin.

Make Tips

Before applying any makeup, you should clean your face with water, which has a pinch of soda bicarbonate in it. Then apply ice cubes on the face. This enables the makeup to last longer.

Concealer is used to hide dark circles around the eyes, and is also used to cover blemishes and scars. A beige concealer is ideal for dark skins and one with natural tones for fairer skins. This should be spread evenly using a dry sponge or your fingers. Now, apply the foundation.

Foundation is used to enhance the colour of the complexion. Three basic types may be used, depending upon your skin type. For dry skin, liquid foundation works best whereas semi-liquid is best for combination skins. Foundation can be applied with a sponge and blended into the hairline and along the jaw for a natural finish.

Translucent powder is used to dust the face. This helps that the foundation to stay on longer. Excess powder should be brushed off. Blusher should be blended evenly along the cheekbones.

Lips

The lips should be outlined with a lip liner so that the lipstick does not bleed. Lipstick is then applied and blended with the lip liner. Then dust your lips with powder so that the lipstick lasts for a longer period of time, and then apply the last coat.

Eyes

Eye shadow colours should be selected carefully, light shadow is applied on to the lids to create a base. Darker eye shadow is then used at the outer corners of the eyes, to enhance the eyes. A kajal or kohl stick can be used in the inner eyelid to make the eyes appear even more dramatic. Mascara applied to the lashes increases this effect. Eyebrows should be sharp and tidy and should be free of all traces of makeup.

Split Ends: Repair is an issue, Prevention is not

Nobody can understand the height of anguish better than me when I had to cut my silky-smooth, long hair only because of an apparently insignificant thing, split ends.
Trust me; nobody can understand the height of anguish better than me when I had to cut my silky-smooth, long hair only because of an apparently insignificant thing, split ends. Like every other girl, who is in love with her long hair I also ignored split ends totally as I could not imagine to cut my hair.
Today I regret, if only I would have been aware of the mess split ends can make of my hair I would have taken split ends seriously. Split ends can make your hair look so dead and dreary that you can’t imagine. It also makes your hair look dry and frizzy which is not a good combination for hair. No matter how silky and long hair you have but if with split ends, the whole attraction of your long hair would be useless.
Do not get scared as “where there is a will, there is a way”. The initial step to get rid of split ends is to have a hair cut, whether you want it or not. Consider it a new look for a short period of time till your hair grow back in the same length but with more charm and appeal. Do not go for chemical products which claim to mend your split ends as it will be done for a very short time. Hair cut is the only way to get rid of split ends but there are several other ways to prevent split ends. Once you have a hair cut, after that you just have to adopt some simple habits related to your hair in order to prevent split ends.
First of all, avoid brushing wet hair. Your hair is at its weakest state when it’s wet. It stretches more than it should. This causes severe split ends if done on a regular basis. Hair is a sensitive part of body. Treat it gently in order to make it look more attractive. Do not brush harshly as it would damage your hair and cause split ends. Use a hair friendly brush. Wide tooth combs are even better.
Deep condition your hair at least twice a month to avoid split ends. Use olive oil to give your hair a deep massage for few minutes. Wrap your hair with a shower cap or a towel, even better. Let the oil get soaked properly before you rinse it off. If you do not want to destroy your hair because of split ends then learn to appreciate the natural form of your hair but if you are so eager to try something else then be mindful of the fact that your hair needs to breathe as well. Take a break of considerable time before undergoing another hair treatment.
If you are a regular swimmer then you must make a habit of taking bath instantly after coming out of the water as chlorine and salt water damages your hair which would result in split ends.
Choose hair friendly accessories. Hair accessories with metal connecters are not at all recommended for healthy looking hair.
Keeping the tips of your hair trimmed will protect your hair from further damage: split ends tend to work their way up the hair shaft. The solution to split ends is to act quickly. Follow these simple steps and you can have your thick, silky smooth and long and split ends-free hair back in no time. By Alisha
