This time she has endeavored to prove her fairy tale beauty on big screen also and has played opposite to Pakistan’s versatile actor Shaan in director Altaf Hussain’s film “Khamosh Raho”, that is going to be released in Norway than before in Pakistan.

All the five songs of movie are sung by internationally acclaimed Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

German Jazz on its way to Lahore

German Jazz Festival is on its way to Lahore to jazz you up with jazzy sensation on May 3 and 4. The event will kick start at National College of Arts.

Organized by the German Cultural Centre, the festival is titled ‘German Jazz 2011’ and aims to give Lahoris two days of pure jazz from Germany. The first day of the event will be academic and literary, bringing a photo exhibition on the history of German Jazz that will last till May 15.

The real fun for Jazz lovers will begin on the second day as musicians from Germany are coming to Lahore to perform live. Jonas Scheon Quartett, a famous Berlin-based German jazz band will be performing live for the first time ever in Lahore at Peeru’s Café.

Pakistani Celebrities talk about the Royal Wedding

The entire world seems to be lost in the fairytale charm of Royal Wedding, which will be gathering politicians, designers, artists, sheikhs, and businessmen on one red carpet. Even in Pakistan, celebrities are seen talking about the dreamy wedding that is to take place today.

“Everybody loves a good romance and when the romance is as dreamy and grand as that of the royal family it inspires people all over the world,” chimed fashion designer Maheen Khan.

“I wonder what she is wearing tomorrow. Though I have heard she has had her dress designed by a British designer which means she is promoting her country’s designers,” she remarked.

Photographer Tapu Javeri shared his grandparents were British, “Of course, there is an everlasting relationship between Pakistan and the UK and let’s just say the relations are diplomatic, to be on the safe side,” he laughed. Also, he wished the royal couple a future filled with love and a successful marriage.

Bilal Lashari is all ready to ‘Waar’ at Lollywood

It seems like Lollywood is really evolving with time. After the imminent release of Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol, here comes the new buzz about Bilal Lashari’s first feature-length venture ‘Waar’, which is currently in post production.

Written by Hassan Waqas Rana, the storyline is inspired by the war on terror in Pakistan and its effect on the outside world. The cast of the film includes Shaan, Shahid and Shamoon Abbasi.  It is also said to star Sadia Hyat Khan, a new comer in the industry.

The director of the film, Bilal Lashari, a graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, has already made a name for himself for directing mind-blowing music videos. Besides, he also won Best Music Video Director’ at the Lux Style Awards and ‘Best Pop Video’ at the MTV Pakistan Music Video Awards for “Sajni”.

The English-language film has been shot at various locations in and outside of Pakistan, from Lahore to beautiful hills of Islamabad to Swat Valley and all the way to Turkey. The soundtrack of the film has been done by Qayaas.

Above all, the film is rumored to be released by International Warner Bros on June 1, 2011, which increases the anticipation altogether. The estimated budget is reported to be a whopping $2,000,000 (Rs170, 000,000). By Alisha

Meera seems to be following the footsteps of Veena Malik very well! Just as Veena Malik used Neetu Chandra’s name to get publicity in India, Meera is using Mahesh Bhatt’s name to do the same. Bridal Couture Week comes to glorious end

The glamorous bridal delight extravaganza Style 360 Bridal Couture Week in association with J&S, comes to an end with much applauds, twinkling lights and an array of bridal creations.

The first day was decorated with red chandeliers, and egg-shaped lamps and chandeliers on the second. The ramp was decorated with a profusion of red roses and different chandeliers, with white cut-out roses adorning the stage.
